Restoring Lives West: The Restoration Zone

Restoring Lives West, Inc. (RLW) is a Christian ministry on the west side of Indianapolis (Indiana) reaching out to the homeless and at risk young adults with the compassion of Christ in an environment of God's love.

RLW empowers youth by providing street outreach, a youth drop-in center, referral to social services, and educational/job training projects through community relationships. The following services are offered. * Safe place with a home-like environment * Haircuts * Hot meals (and food pantry) * Clothing * Showers * Laundry services * Mentoring * Spiritual guidance and counseling * Bible study * Help getting birth certificates and legal docs * Finding jobs.

This video features the Restoration Zone, the future site of a new expanded facility that will be renovated over the next year to serve the growing needs of abused and homeless young people on the West Side of Indianapolis.

Restoring Lives West: An Opportunity

As we respond to Him in service to the needy, there is a way that God helps others, builds us together as brothers, and purifies us as individuals...our motives, our vision, our purpose.  Restoring Lives West may be that opportunity both for us and for others.  

Have you "found what you are looking for?"  This might be it.

Mountain of God, even when the journey is long

I was riding home tonight after our discussion and heard a song that seemed to tie it all together, Fathering the fatherless (Bill), hope for the hopeless (Garry), going through a valley to get to the mountain (Mike), Finding God in the world around us (Nick), and the peace of having God "with us", even when we don't feel like it.     

Isn't that something we want to have, something we want to give to orphans, widows and others?  Pure Religion James 1:27

This is the COOLEST car ever, in the greatest chase and rescue....We saw this at our first meeting in 2009.

Its all a picture of how Jesus rescues us from being poisoned by the deceiver. The world around us constantly feeding us lies, and only when we are undone, that he can carry us back to the place where Truth is in control. We must trust him, even as he flys across rooftops, breaks down barriers and is totally focused on bringing us to the antitdote which is in His house.

I NEVER get tired of watching this, seen it 40 times. It reminds me of how He saved me from a completely hopeless situations in my life, did things I could never have imagined possible, and did it flawlessly, selflessly and powerfully, NO FEAR.

God, you are an AWESOME God. Lets roll!
